Trapped under a burning truck… hearing the crushing news that a friend had died without ever telling him about Jesus…leaving behind a lucrative job for the unknown in ministry…finding out that the housing his family needed was going away-

God used each of these moments to call Pastor Jason to surrender, trust, and be shaped.

It wasn’t an easy process. Fears of rejection from peers, lack of stability in work, leaving the familiar, and wondering what life would look like stepping out in faith were scary.

Faith isn’t hard-fought only in seasons of hardship. Sometimes it’s hard-fought in the quiet surrender of letting go of our own plans, our comfort.

“What He wants is for you to just take the next step.”
